MUNFORD, Tenn.- The death of Munford resident Anita Rieben, 72, has been ruled a homicide by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
On February 17th, 25th District Attorney General Mike Dunavant asked the T.B.I. to begin a death investigation at 375 Reeder Avenue in Munford. The Munford Police Department was dispatched to Rieben’s home on a welfare check after she had missed an appointment earlier that day. When the officers arrived they found her deceased. The T.B.I.’s Violent Crimes Response Team responded and collected evidence while other Special Agents spoke with witnesses and conducted other interviews.
The T.B.I. has since determined that Anita Rieben’s death was the result of a homicide. As the investigation progressed, Special Agents developed information that a red Chevy Colorado truck had been seen at, or near, 375 Reeder Avenue around the time of Rieben’s death. The truck is described as a mid-size truck, with unique rims and possible damage to one of the bumpers. Agents are hopeful to speak with anyone who might have information about this vehicle.
Anyone who may have seen this red Chevy Colorado on Reeder Street in Munford on or around February 16th or 17th is asked to call 1-800-TBI-FIND.
